We Choose is our ministry plan—it provides a framework for our church to pursue spiritual health and advance God's Kingdom both within and outside of our local congregations. We believe our mission of making disciples is intertwined with serving our communities at home and the global church.

This month, our Fusion (5th–6th grade) and 24Seven (7th–8th grade) students went on retreats at Pine Cove Springs! Between the two retreats, over 700 students and 450 staff and volunteers participated. A lot of time, prayer, preparation, and hard work went into creating space for our students to get away and be immersed in life-on-life discipleship, and we are thankful for every person who helped make it possible.

One discipleship opportunity we offer on an ongoing basis is Money Matters—a class designed to help participants renew their mindset concerning personal finance, become faithful stewards of the resources God has given them, and bring him glory through their money as well as their lives. We all wrestle with questions around our money: Why is it so important to be generous? How much money do I need to save? Does my lifestyle truly honor the Lord? How do I get started with budgeting and planning? Money Matters offers a biblical framework for all these questions and more.

This week, a new episode of the Grace Church Members podcast unpacks Faithfully Gathered in even more detail, including how and why the concept was developed and what it looks like for us to implement faithful gathering in our personal and corporate practice. We hear Blake Payne, Tanner Corley, and podcast host Scott Mozingo explore this topic, and we invite all our members to engage with these ideas and prayerfully consider what it looks like for us to be Faithfully Gathered.

Recently, about 250 women from our Downtown campus got together for a Women at Grace event—an opportunity for women to be discipled and connect with one another. This event was planned with the hope that women would be inspired to action by hearing from women in various seasons share how God is moving in their lives, by hearing more of an ongoing campus vision for members to be biblically saturated, and by being challenged to grow in the area of contentment.

Last year, our Care & Recovery ministry launched a new support group for those dealing with chronic illness. The journey through chronic illness is often isolating, because most people who are sick soon recover and move on with their lives. Very few people truly understand what it’s like to face pain and physical limitations every day for an extended period of time.

Recently, we heard life change stories from some of our members who are also a part of Mosaic Inspire—a weekday discipleship ministry that equips adults with special needs by helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through pursuing God, connecting with the church, and engaging the community.

Last month, a small team of members traveled to Nicaragua to provide teaching and development for our partners there, Christ for the City International. In particular, the team spent some focused time walking the women through our new Ezer study, Seven Arrows: Studying Philippians Together.
